![]() ![]() About half of the units offer views of Snow King Mountain, and others overlook the grounds. Bathrooms in main building rooms have tan granite vanities both inside and directly outside, providing extra convenience for families, and all come with shower/tub combos, magnifying mirrors, hairdryers, and toiletries. Living rooms and bedrooms have their own flat-screen TVs, and Cabins include covered porches with picnic tables and chairs. Bedrooms are a bit tight, but the comfortable living rooms have sleeper sofas and kitchenettes with cooktops, wet bars, small dining tables, and the same amenities as the hotel rooms. The two-queen Colter Cabins have the same carpet but they feature more charming, outdoorsy decor, like pine wood walls and ceilings. The larger Three Queen Lofts add wet bars and second TVs in the loft bedrooms. Standard amenities include mini-fridges, microwaves, flat-screen TVs, safes, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi. At 340 square feet, they offer ample space, with plenty of room for small tables with chairs. ![]() Pattered carpeting in handsome copper and black adds some visual interest. The other standard (Settler’s) hotel rooms contain two queen beds, with pleasant-looking rustic wood furniture and brown and gold walls that match bedspreads. We would definitely stay here again - not only because the hotel is comfortable but because of the friendly, helpful staff. This Inn has a nice selection of clean and comfortable stand-alone cabins and traditional hotel rooms, including Three Queen Lofts that have balconies and semi-private loft areas. The staff looked after our luggage while we were on an overnight whitewater trip, and let us keep our car parked in the their parking lot that night as well. ![]() But we only heard this when we were awake - it didn't affect our sleep at all. The only downside was the rooms are not well soundproofed, so we did hear people walking above us and talking as they went by outside our room. There is no breakfast facility in the Inn, but fruit is offered in the morning and don't miss the free homemade cookies in the late afternoon and evening. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, and we really liked the fact that we could walk to the town square in less than ten minutes. The staff was all very helpful and friendly, and gave us great advice on what to see and where to eat in the town and region. We booked two nights at the Elk Country Inn and were very pleased with our choice. It was just about the right amount of space for 2. The cabin technically sleeps 4, but I would definitely not recommend it for that many people - especially for an extended stay. The cabin was neat, clean, and very cute inside, but the mattresses were not very comfortable. The cabins are all pretty close together and face the parking lot, so sitting on front porch doesn't offer much ambiance especially since we were also the 2nd cabin from the street. The hotel is located within an easy walk to the town square and shopping. While we were there, the battery in the smoke detector ran down and a maintenance person came promptly and replaced it. They do not offer a complimentary breakfast, but the kitchenette was well equipped to prepare it. They offer fresh cookies, flavored water, and coffee in the office area in the afternoon and fruit in the mornings. ![]() The staff was friendly and efficient and check-in went smoothly. There was plenty of room for just the 2 of us, but when we were joined the 2nd night by 2 additional family members, things were pretty cramped. The bedroom has a door, but there is an open area between the top of the wall and the roof that extends out into the rest of the cabin. The configuration had 2 queen beds in the bedroom with a pull-out couch in the combination kitchenette, living, dining area. Jackson is a pricey location for hotel rooms and we paid around $250 a night for a cabin that was pretty small despite it's name. We stayed in one of the "Grand Cabins" at Elk Country Lodge in Jackson for 2 nights while visiting the Grand Teton National Park. ![]()
